Are you sick and tired of being overweight? Have you tried lots of diets without success? Then this 8-week program in Auckland is for you. Not only will you set yourself up for permanent weight loss, but your health will improve as a consequence. This is not a diet, but a healthy lifestyle change.
We will meet one-on-one every week to work on:
Nutrition: What you should eat to fuel your body, and not just to fill you up.
Mindset: Put yourself first. You will work on your self-care, stress relief, overcoming emotional eating, changing habits and more.
Exercise: You will get weekly exercise sessions to help you lose weight and tone up.
In this 8-week program you will set yourself up for permanent weight loss and better health. The focus is on establishing a healthy lifestyle by eating wholesome and sustainable foods, building up your physical health and creating a positive mindset.
A healthy lifestyle is all about feeling great, having more energy and stabilizing your mood. This program is a holistic mind, body, food connection to help you become the best version of yourself. Not only will you lose weight, but improve your health and general wellbeing along the way.
This program is just like the Auckland program, but instead of one-on-one meetings, it is all done online - you can do it from the comfort of your home and in your own time.
I am 57 and since starting with Body & Mind for Life, I have managed to shift reluctant fat from my body. In 2014 a stressful workplace environment, had left me depleted. My energy was very low. I felt sure that a staunch session of boot camp would see me loose those extra 5 kgs and return me to my previously taught energetic self. Alas, after 6 months, I’d put on a further 7 kilos! My muscle tone had vanished, and I was left with wobbly fat around my middle! I put it down to menopause. In 2015 a nutritionist suggested I might be experiencing the effects of Adrenal Fatigue. My Dr tried, my chiropractor tried, my family tried and eventually, the evil sugar monster in the guise of chocolate, took over! Exercise in any form was a battle. I continued to feel weak and my weight didn’t budge. Enter the Anita factor! Anita started me on her 8-week programme. First to go, was the chocolate madness. That was easy..it was the fitness that eluded me. Cardio was a challenge, as even a brisk walk exhausted me. So, Anita suggested swimming. It worked. Coupled with a daily workout session on the mat; 10,000 steps ++ each day, and a 30-minute swim at the pool every other day – it took 10 weeks, but I managed to drop 2.5 kgs. I’m still weak some days, yet Anita’s programme and her quiet power have encouraged me to work toward my well-being. My body tone is returning – much to my delight. At no other time, over the past 3 years have I had such success and contentment. Anita’s holistic approach, alerted me to behaviours that I needed to address. Her weekly programme was fun and each session covered fresh and interesting topics. Her side-by-side coaching has been a significant factor in my continued drive to better myself. Words can't express the true meaning of this program. For me personally, this program comes second only to the Bible. Anita is a great listener and truly cares about your well-being. This programme really and truly works. I have tried many times to loose weight but it comes off only to come back on. This holistic programme deals with not only healthy food options (with yummy recipes included) and exercise videos to help, but also includes extremely helpful talks on subjects to do with food and on mindset which really is at the base of how you feel about food, and this together with Anita always been there to talk through your personal difficulties with encouragement and helpful hints. I can't speak highly enough about it, and as I loose the weight steadily I'm so excited to continue and most of all I feel so much fitter, have more energy and fly around mowing my lawn like an "energiser bunny" and friends have not stopped saying "you're looking so well". I lost a really pleasing amount of weight (6 kg) on the program - but best of all I have gained valuable knowledge which has helped me to continue to lose weight. The phrase that really struck a chord was "if you eat the right foods, you can eat as much as you like". So true and so much better than calorie counting! This has led me to exploring new foods - especially grains that I hadn't cooked with before.
