Guacamole is always a hit when you have people over. You can also try different ingredients like cilantro, garlic or add spices for variety.


Preparation: 10 minutes

Serves: 4


  • 1 avocado

  • ½ lemon

  • ½ red onion, finely diced

  • 1 ripe tomato, finely diced

  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped

  • Salt

  • Freshly ground pepper

  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)


  • Mash the avocado, squeeze the lemon over it.

  • Mix in the diced onions, tomato and parsley.

  • Season with salt & pepper to your taste.

  • Use cayenne pepper to give it a bit of a spicy kick if you like.

  • Serve with a variety of cut veggies (carrots, celery, cucumber, capsicums …)
