1 can chickpeas

½ cup tahini (sesame seed paste)

2 cloves garlic

1/3 cup lemon juice

Salt and freshly ground black pepper




  • Drain the chickpeas and reserve the liquid

  • In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini paste, garlic, lemon juice and seasonings.

  • Process, adding enough reserved chickpea liquid to make a smooth consistency.
